Tree Surgery

We are skilled in all types of tree surgery including crown lifting, crown thinning, reductions and dead wood removal. If you would like to prune an overgrown tree or remove a tree that is blocking natural light into your property, we have the tools to get the job done.

Root and Stump Removal

When a tree has been felled, a significant portion of it remains in the ground and it will naturally rot and decay. However if you need the stump removed we can grind the stump using specialist equipment. We will dig far below the surface leaving plenty of depth to concrete or turf over.

Hedge and Shrub Work

AA Tree Surgery can help maintain the beauty of your garden or outside space with our hedge and bush services. We have decades of experience trimming and pruning hedges and will ensure your greenery looks attractive throughout the year.

Other Services

If you are located in a conservation area you may need planning permission to remove a tree. If so, you can leave this to us. We can also undertake tree surveys if you have multiple trees that need to be removed.

We are also qualified to use Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs)/cherry pickers for surgery on trees near overhead power lines or telephone wires.

Health and Safety

Before each job is carried out a Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) is completed. The health of the tree maybe compromised to such an extent that a cherry picker or MEWP is necessary. All rigging equipment and climbing gear is Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) inspected every year. We pride ourselves on a zero percent accident rate, ensuring everyone always goes home safely.

Environment and Waste Disposal

All vehicles and machines adhere to strict emissions law and comply with Euro 6 regulations. Fuels and oils are all biodegradable. Waste from the job is recycled and logs are left as a habitat for wildlife.
As a business we plant a tree in a designated area for every tree we fell to compensate and reduce our carbon footprint.

“An awkward job was handled quickly and efficiently. A 40 foot Pyrocantha was removed, see photos attached. This was no mean feat in itself with 2 inch thorns and no side or garden access (the entire tree had to be removed via a neighbours yard at the back). All was left cleared with minimal disruption. A great job.”
